Eating Disorder and Body Image Treatment

Eating Disorder and Body Image Treatment

Someone with poor body image and/or disordered eating typically struggles with relentless thoughts of self-criticism, perfectionism, and a preoccupation with food or weight. There’s a constant internal battle—a voice that demands control, imposes impossible standards, and equates self-worth with physical appearance or achievements.

This mindset is not just about vanity or dieting; it’s deeply rooted in emotional pain, a need for control, or a way to cope with overwhelming feelings.  For many, it feels like they are never enough, no matter how hard they try. The disorder creates a cycle of guilt, shame, and anxiety, making it incredibly hard to break free.

If any of this resonates with you, it might be time to seek support—and I’m here to help. Together, we can work to understand the roots of your struggles with food and your body and develop new ways of relating to yourself that are grounded in compassion and healing.

Pregnancy Loss & Infertility Support

After a miscarriage, you might be feeling a mix of grief, sadness, guilt, or even numbness. You may struggle with unanswered questions, unexpected waves of emotion, or a sense of isolation. The loss can feel invisible to others, making it hard to talk about or fully process. It might bring up complicated emotions about your body, your future, or other past experiences.

Trying to conceive can often feel like an emotional rollercoaster, with moments of hope followed by deep disappointment. You might find yourself constantly wondering what you can do differently to conceive, even after trying everything, and feeling frustrated by the lack of answers. It’s easy to feel isolated, left behind and even jealous as you watch friends and family members become pregnant.

Perhaps you're navigating the complicated path of assistive reproductive technology (ART), where each cycle brings a mix of hope, uncertainty, and emotional strain. The constant ups and downs can leave you feeling exhausted, questioning what’s next, and wondering if the journey will ever lead to the outcome you’ve been hoping for. The emotional and financial toll of treatments, combined with the pressure to succeed, can feel overwhelming, leading to a sense of loneliness and hopelessness.

Regardless of which path you are on, you may struggle with feelings of self-blame, questioning if something is wrong with you, or experience anxiety about whether or not your dream of becoming pregnant will come true. I welcome and support all individuals and family systems, recognizing that families are built in many ways. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals through this difficult time and am dedicated to providing the care and guidance needed to help you find strength and peace amidst the uncertainty.

Prenatal Support

Prenatal Support

Pregnancy can be a time of profound joy, anticipation, and growth—but it can also bring unexpected challenges, both emotionally and physically. You might be navigating anxiety, mood changes, unforeseen medical complications, relationship shifts, difficulties with the changes in your body or just the stress of preparing for a new chapter.  I offer a safe and compassionate space to explore your feelings. Together, we can address concerns about the transition to parenthood, unpack fears or uncertainties, and develop tools to help you feel grounded and supported.

Parent Support

Parenting is one of the most rewarding and vulnerable journeys you can undertake. Whether you’re caring for a newborn, navigating the complexities of raising toddlers, or guiding older children through life’s challenges, each stage brings its own joys and struggles. Parenthood can stir deep emotions—self-doubt, guilt, exhaustion and unrelenting love. In our work together, we’ll create a space where you can be honest about the hard parts, celebrate your strengths, and discover tools to parent with greater confidence and self-compassion. I approach parenting support with empathy, humor, and a deep understanding that there’s no “one right way” to do this.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but it’s a courageous choice toward healing and self-discovery.  In addition to my eating disorder and perinatal specialties, I also work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD and trauma.  My goal is to offer a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. By blending evidence-based techniques with a personalized approach, I aim to help you build new skills, shift old patterns, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
